I am Won Min-kyong, Minister of Gender Equality and Family.

Welcome to the official website of the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family.

Drawing on my on-the-ground experience of listening to the voices of marginalized communities, I will do my utmost to help build a society where every citizen is respected and can lead a fulfilling life.

We will prioritize policies that contribute to a better Korea from advancing gender equality and eliminating gender-based violence, to embracing diverse family structures, supporting single-parent and multicultural families, bridging care gaps, and protecting and empowering our youth

We will drive meaningful changes that resonate with all citizens, and faithfully fulfill our responsibility to reflect voices from the field.

We will always stand with the people through open communication and attentive listening, and remain steadfast in our efforts to build a safer, more compassionate society.
